Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with enhanced qubit stability
- Publish groundbreaking research in leading quantum computing journals and conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical AI frameworks
- Secure and manage research grants from government agencies and private investors
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our quantum computing open-source initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing publications (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Proven ability to secure competitive research funding (NSF, DoE, DARPA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
