Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with academic and industrial partners
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry consortia
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel programming
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (superconducting, trapped ion)
