Responsibilities
- Architect and lead quantum algorithm development for 2026 deployment targets
- Direct 15+ researchers across quantum hardware, software, and security domains
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum systems achieving >99.9% gate fidelity
- Author breakthrough publications in Nature/Science journals
- Establish industry-wide quantum security protocols
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or equivalent with 8+ years research experience
- Published 15+ peer-reviewed papers in quantum computing
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum error correction
- Proven track record of securing federal research funding
- Deep knowledge of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting/ion trap)
- Experience leading international R&D consortia
- Strong background in quantum cryptography and post-quantum security
