Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms with practical commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA, NSF, and private investors
- Develop quantum-safe cryptography protocols for enterprise clients
- Present findings at international conferences including IEEE Quantum Week
- Oversee lab operations and quantum hardware integration
- Mentor PhD researchers and postdoctoral fellows
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing research with published papers in Nature/Science
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and qubit manipulation
- Proven track record of securing government research grants
- Strong knowledge of quantum error correction techniques
- Experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
