- Translate complex quantum algorithms into scalable hardware implementations
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from federal and private sources
- Drive patent development for novel quantum communication protocols
- Mentor next-generation quantum engineers through university partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Expertise in superconducting qubit fabrication and cryogenic systems
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing NSF/DARPA grants exceeding $5M
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum system optimization
