Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in designing and implementing quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to interface quantum processors with classical systems
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for next-gen security infrastructure
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier quantum computing journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of innovation and scientific excellence
- Secure external funding through NSF grants and industry partnerships
- Translate theoretical concepts into practical quantum computing applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, QAOA, VQE)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and manage research budgets
