Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical 2026 use cases in cryptography and optimization
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Direct cross-functional teams of 15+ researchers and engineers
- Secure $5M+ in annual R&D funding through grant proposals
- Develop quantum benchmarking methodologies for industry adoption
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Partner with MIT and Stanford on quantum networking initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of leading technical teams in high-stakes environments
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and decoherence
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum systems
