Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit stability in 3D quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate quantum gate operations at sub-Kelvin temperatures
- Lead research into topological quantum computing implementations
- Create computational frameworks for quantum supremacy applications in pharmaceuticals
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Supervise graduate research projects with University of Texas quantum science department
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant systems
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization using tensor network simulations
- Experience with dilution refrigerators and quantum control hardware
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Track record of securing NSF or DoE quantum research grants
- Fluency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing optimization skills
