Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum processor architectures targeting 1000+ qubit systems by 2026
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for commercially viable fault tolerance
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate photonic and superconducting qubit technologies
- Create quantum algorithms benchmarking frameworks for next-gen applications
- Lead cross-functional quantum software-hardware integration initiatives
- File foundational patents in quantum architecture and error correction
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm design or quantum hardware architecture
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, or color codes)
- Proficiency with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation strategies
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Experience leading quantum computing R&D teams
