Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop quantum algorithms for optimization, machine learning, and cryptography applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers to prototype quantum processors
- Research and mitigate quantum decoherence and error correction challenges
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-accelerated machine learning models
- File patents for novel quantum computing methodologies and system designs
- Present breakthrough findings at premier quantum computing conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum computing experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings on quantum computing
- Experience with cryogenic systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Strong background in error correction codes (surface codes, topological codes)
- Proven track record of leading quantum hardware-software co-design projects
