Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological quantum systems
- Develop quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives to enhance qubit coherence and error correction
- Collaborate with government agencies and Fortune 500 partners on national quantum security initiatives
- Drive quantum cloud platform development for enterprise clients
- Publish research in top-tier journals and secure quantum computing patents
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and establish best practices for quantum software development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum computing experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong background in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in quantum computing or related top-tier conferences
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business strategy
- Security clearance eligibility for government partnerships preferred
