Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant operations beyond 2026 requirements
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating complex quantum algorithms into hardware implementations
- Research emerging quantum technologies (topological qubits, quantum networks) and create 5-year roadmaps
- Optimize quantum circuit performance through compiler development and hardware-software co-design
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-accelerated machine learning frameworks
- Secure patents for novel quantum architectures and publish in Nature/Science journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction techniques
- Mastery of quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical optimization tools
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields (arXiv, peer-reviewed journals)
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing architectures
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into actionable engineering roadmaps
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract compliance
