Responsibilities
- Manage office calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating travel arrangements
- Handle incoming communications including phone calls, emails, and mail with professionalism
- Maintain digital and physical filing systems with strict confidentiality protocols
- Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite
- Coordinate office operations including supply inventory and vendor relationships
- Support event planning and logistical coordination for community initiatives
- Assist with onboarding processes and new hire orientation
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of administrative experience in a professional setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
- Associate's degree or equivalent administrative certification
- Knowledge of Detroit municipal systems preferred
- Valid driver's license required for occasional off-site tasks
