Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 technology foresight framework using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario modeling
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify emerging opportunities in AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Present strategic recommendations to the board and C-suite with data-driven impact assessments
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to track breakthrough developments
- Create the annual 'Future State' report for investors and stakeholders
- Mentor a team of futurists and innovation analysts
- Represent the company at global industry conferences and thought leadership forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, R&D, or innovation leadership at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercialized products/services
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies and scenario planning frameworks
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology) and their business implications
- Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Published thought leadership in innovation or futures journals
- Experience building and managing global innovation ecosystems
