Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 innovation horizon scanning framework, identifying disruptive technologies and societal shifts
- Lead cross-functional strategy sessions to align corporate vision with emerging market opportunities
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports for executive board and investor presentations
- Design and implement foresight methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi studies, trend analysis)
- Partner with R&D to incubate moonshot projects targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Represent company at global futurist forums and thought leadership summits
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking and strategic foresight disciplines
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial strategy
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum computing, biotech, climate tech)
- Exceptional storytelling and data visualization capabilities for complex future scenarios
- Published thought leadership in futurist journals or industry whitepapers
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFPS) preferred
- Experience with scenario planning tools and foresight software (e.g., Foresight Platform)
