Responsibilities
- Lead strategic foresight initiatives for 2026+ horizon planning across technology and market ecosystems
- Develop and maintain horizon scanning frameworks to identify emerging trends and disruptive technologies
- Facilitate executive workshops on scenario planning and risk mitigation for future uncertainties
- Produce annual Future State reports with quantitative/qualitative analysis of transformational forces
- Collaborate with R&D teams to align innovation pipelines with long-term strategic objectives
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and think tanks for cutting-edge research integration
- Present strategic recommendations to board members with compelling data visualizations and narratives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 8+ years in strategy consulting, corporate innovation, or futurist roles at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven expertise in scenario planning methodologies and horizon scanning frameworks
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with experience translating complex futures into executive insights
- Strong network within futurist communities (APF, WFS, etc.) and academic research institutions
- Portfolio demonstrating successful strategic foresight projects with measurable business impact
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (preferred) or related professional credential
