Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026 strategic foresight framework using trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning
- Produce quarterly strategic briefings on disruptive technologies (quantum computing, biotech fusion, neuromorphic AI)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align departments on future-state opportunities and risks
- Establish KPIs for innovation readiness and track progress against 2026 milestones
- Partner with R&D to prototype solutions addressing 2026 market gaps
- Represent the organization at global futurist forums and technology summits
- Mentor junior strategists in futures methodologies and critical thinking
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology forecasting
- Portfolio demonstrating successful 5+ year strategic roadmap implementations
- Expertise in trend analysis tools (e.g., Gartner Hype Cycle, STEEPLE methodology)
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies: generative AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., APF, WFS) preferred
- Exceptional storytelling ability to communicate complex futures scenarios
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategy publications
