- Forecast technological, economic, and societal shifts through horizon scanning and trend analysis
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps integrating quantum computing, biotech convergence, and climate tech
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and policy teams
- Present scenarios to board members and government innovation councils
- Establish foresight frameworks using AI-powered predictive modeling tools
- Author 'Future State' reports published in industry journals
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Portfolio demonstrating trend-impact analysis for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in horizon scanning tools (e.g., TrendHunter, Gartner Hype Cycle)
- Experience with AI/ML forecasting models and scenario planning software
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism (e.g., MIT Tech Review, WIRED)
- Deep knowledge of quantum computing, AGI governance, or carbon capture tech
