Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain multi-year horizon-scanning frameworks identifying emerging technologies and societal trends
- Translate foresight analyses into strategic roadmaps for product development and market positioning
- Lead cross-functional workshops to foster innovation culture and design thinking methodologies
- Produce executive-ready trend reports and scenario planning documents for board-level presentations
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs
- Mentor innovation teams in future-proofing technologies and ethical implementation
- Quantify market opportunities and risks associated with emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years experience in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or tech R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating trend analysis into commercial opportunities
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Exceptional storytelling skills for complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy
- Experience with scenario planning and risk modeling frameworks
