Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and business objectives
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.) for strategic integration
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Analyze global tech trends to anticipate market shifts and competitive threats
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets and vendor partnerships for R&D initiatives
- Mentor junior strategists and build future-focused talent pipelines
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or futurism consulting
- Proven track record of launching commercialized emerging tech products
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum computing, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong financial acumen for tech investment analysis and ROI modeling
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent strategic foresight certification preferred
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
