Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps integrating quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, and decentralized AI systems
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and venture capital teams
- Conduct horizon-scanning research on exponential technologies (nanotech, biotech, fusion energy)
- Design ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and algorithmic decision-making
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic labs and government innovation agencies
- Present technology foresight to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor junior futurists and build our internal 'Future Tech Academy'
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation leadership at Fortune 500 scale
- Expertise in exponential technology forecasting (e.g., Gartner Hype Cycle methodology)
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature Futures, or MIT Technology Review
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Futures Studies (or equivalent experience)
- Track record of launching $10M+ technology initiatives
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (e.g., Palisade @Risk, Causal Mapping)
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, US CHIPS Act)
- Certification in Technology Foresight (e.g., APF or WFS)
