Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives targeting 2026 technology breakthroughs in quantum computing and AI
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging tech adoption across healthcare, climate, and energy sectors
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and patent opportunities
- Collaborate with venture partners to fund and incubate next-gen startups
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and government innovation councils
- Design ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-machine symbiosis
- Oversee prototype development of next-gen interfaces and immersive experiences
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years in R&D leadership
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent industry impact
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or synthetic biology
- Proven track record of scaling innovations from lab to market (>$50M ARR)
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes for emerging technologies
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Experience securing federal innovation grants (DARPA, NSF, DoE)
