Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, neurotech) and develop 5-year strategic roadmaps
- Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify disruptive opportunities
- Partner with engineering teams to prototype future-forward solutions and validate market viability
- Develop governance frameworks for ethical tech adoption and responsible innovation
- Present strategic insights to stakeholders through compelling narratives and data-driven reports
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and marketing teams
- Build and nurture an external network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or futurist roles
- Proven track record of implementing future-focused initiatives with measurable ROI
- Expertise in emerging tech domains (blockchain, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information
- Experience developing strategic frameworks for long-term tech adoption
- Strong presentation skills with executive-level communication abilities
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Business Strategy, or related field
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation journals preferred
