Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 market predictions and regulatory frameworks
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum AI, neuro interfaces, carbon-negative tech)
- Conduct competitive analysis and scenario planning for emerging tech disruptions
- Partner with policy advisors to shape ethical AI and sustainable technology standards
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and external stakeholders through data-driven narratives
- Manage $15M+ R&D budget allocation for future-focused initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech roles with proven 5+ year horizon planning experience
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, generative AI, or climate tech
- Track record of scaling innovations from concept to enterprise deployment
- Certifications in Futures Studies or Technology Foresight (preferred)
- Strong network within DARPA, IEEE, or World Economic Tech Councils
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering with publications in Nature/Science
- Fluency in strategic scenario modeling tools (e.g., STEEPLE analysis)
