Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and organizational goals
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging fields including quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, and decentralized AI
- Conduct scenario planning for disruptive technologies and their business impact
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate future tech into product roadmaps
- Manage a $2M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation strategies
- Mentor a team of 5+ technologists and futurists
- Publish industry thought leadership on 2026 tech trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ in emerging tech leadership
- Proven track record in scaling tech startups or enterprise innovation labs
- Expertise in at least 3 of: AI/ML, quantum computing, blockchain, AR/VR, or biotech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with tech focus
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from Foresight Education) preferred
- Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex tech concepts to executive stakeholders
- Published work on future technology trends (patents, white papers, or conferences)
