Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum AI, neuro-interfaces, synthetic biology)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, ethics, and commercialization teams
- Conduct horizon scanning and patent analysis to identify disruptive opportunities
- Design ethical frameworks for responsible AI deployment and biotech governance
- Secure $2M+ in strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor a team of 4 futurists and technology scouts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record launching at least 2 breakthrough innovations
- Expertise in at least two domains: quantum computing, AGI ethics, or synthetic biology
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Advanced degree (PhD/MSc) in Physics, Computer Science, Bioengineering, or related field
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) or corporate venture funding
- Proficiency in technology foresight methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Public speaking experience at TED, Web Summit, or equivalent forums
