Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market disruptors and emerging scientific breakthroughs
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping futuristic solutions (quantum algorithms, AGI frameworks)
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging threats/opportunities in AI ethics, synthetic biology, and space tech
- Present strategic recommendations to the board with ROI projections and risk mitigation frameworks
- Partner with product teams to integrate 2026-viable technologies into commercial pipelines
- Author thought leadership publications on technological singularity preparedness
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy with proven experience in emerging technologies (AI/quantum/biotech)
- Master's degree in Technology Management, Engineering, or equivalent with PhD preferred
- Portfolio of published foresight work (e.g., IEEE Future Directions papers)
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology adoption lifecycle management
- Proficiency in strategic foresight tools (Delphi method, STEEP analysis)
- Experience scaling tech initiatives from concept to $100M+ revenue streams
- Deep understanding of geopolitical implications of technological convergence
