Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and regulatory landscapes
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum AI, neuro interfaces, climate tech)
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for emerging tech domains
- Present strategic briefings to executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-driven allocation
- Identify and mitigate ethical/societal implications of disruptive technologies
- Represent company at global tech summits (Web Summit, CES, etc.)
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Deep expertise in future tech forecasting methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Executive-level communication with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $3M
- Proficiency in strategic planning frameworks (SWOT, PESTEL, Porter's Five Forces)
- Fluency in at least two additional languages (Mandarin, German, Japanese preferred)
