Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate breakthrough technologies (quantum AI, biocomputing, neural interfaces) with 3-5 year commercial viability
- Develop cross-ecosystem strategies integrating public-private partnerships with NASA, DARPA, and academic institutions
- Architect ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-machine symbiosis
- Lead $50M+ R&D initiatives in climate-resilient infrastructure and off-world colonization tech
- Pioneer regulatory sandboxes for next-gen tech deployment across 15+ jurisdictions
- Mentor a multidisciplinary team of PhDs and industry disruptors
- Present strategic blueprints to C-suite and board members quarterly
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Physics, Bioengineering, or related field
- 10+ years in tech strategy with portfolio of commercialized innovations
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, synthetic biology, neuromorphic computing)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Experience securing $100M+ in public/private research funding
- Fluency in futures methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi studies)
- Track record of scaling technologies from lab to global markets
- Security clearance preferred for federal collaborations
