Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026-2030 technology strategy roadmap aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, carbon-neutral AI)
- Conduct competitive analysis and scenario planning for disruptive tech threats/opportunities
- Secure $5M+ in R&D grants and partnerships with leading academic institutions
- Present technology visions to investors and board members with data-driven impact projections
- Mentor senior engineers in future-skilling programs (quantum algorithms, synthetic biology)
- Drive innovation through quarterly hackathons and internal incubation initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging technology commercialization
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Proven track record of launching at least two breakthrough technologies
- Expertise in AI/ML, quantum computing, or biotech convergence technologies
- Strong financial modeling skills for tech ROI and patent valuation
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, DARPA, NSF)
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature, or similar peer-reviewed journals
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive stakeholders
