Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech, etc.) for commercial viability
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption predictions
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate future-ready features into development cycles
- Present strategic insights to investors and executive stakeholders through compelling narratives
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype breakthrough concepts
- Monitor global tech policy and regulatory shifts affecting industry trajectories
- Mentor junior futurists and establish thought leadership through industry publications
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends with documented impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (e.g., AI, biotech, space tech)
- Exceptional data modeling and scenario planning capabilities
- Experience advising C-level executives on technology transformation
- Published thought leadership in recognized industry publications
- Proficiency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, horizon scanning)
