Responsibilities
- Lead strategic R&D initiatives for next-generation technologies targeting 2026 market readiness
- Architect innovation roadmaps for AI/ML, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Partner with MIT, Stanford, and NASA on cutting-edge research projects
- Manage a $5M+ annual innovation budget with autonomy for rapid experimentation
- Present breakthrough concepts to C-suite and venture capital partners
- Build and lead a cross-disciplinary team of futurists and technologists
- Secure 3-5 patents annually in emerging technology domains
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech innovation with 5+ years in executive R&D leadership
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics
- Proven track record of launching market-defining technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or carbon-negative tech
- Published research in Nature/Science with >500 citations
- Experience securing $10M+ in government/venture funding
- Deep understanding of ethical AI governance frameworks
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python/C++ preferred)
