Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-AI algorithms for optimization problems in logistics, drug discovery, and climate modeling
- Lead a team of quantum researchers and AI specialists in developing error-corrected quantum processors
- Develop ethical frameworks for quantum-AI deployment ensuring alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goals
- Forge strategic partnerships with quantum hardware startups and national research labs
- Present quantum-AI roadmaps to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
- Secure $10M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
- Drive commercialization of quantum-AI solutions through pilot programs with Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or Computational Physics with 8+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum machine learning or quantum error correction
- Proven track record leading quantum-AI projects with $5M+ budgets
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ-era limitations
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ) and cloud quantum services
- Strong background in ethics of emerging technologies and responsible AI development
