Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical governance frameworks for AI systems including generative models and autonomous agents
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments using statistical analysis and adversarial testing
- Create transparency protocols for algorithmic decision-making in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, autonomous vehicles)
- Lead stakeholder workshops with engineers, policymakers, and human rights organizations
- Author white papers on AI ethics for industry conferences and regulatory bodies
- Mentor cross-functional teams on ethical AI development practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Philosophy, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, or related field with 5+ years AI ethics experience
- Published research on algorithmic bias, fairness metrics, or explainable AI
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST RMF, IEEE Ethically Aligned Design)
- Proficiency in Python for bias auditing tools and fairness metrics implementation
- Experience working with quantum computing and neuro-symbolic AI systems
- Strong background in applied ethics with demonstrated policy impact
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
