Responsibilities
- Develop ethical AI governance frameworks for autonomous systems
- Conduct bias audits across machine learning pipelines
- Advise C-suite on regulatory compliance (EU AI Act, US Algorithmic Accountability Act)
- Lead cross-functional ethics committees with engineering teams
- Research emerging risks in generative AI and deepfake technologies
- Create transparency protocols for high-stakes AI decision-making
- Partner with legal teams on patent applications for ethical AI safeguards
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years in AI governance or responsible tech policy
- Published research on algorithmic bias mitigation
- Certification in AI ethics (e.g., IBM AI Ethics Certificate)
- Experience with regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act)
- Strong background in adversarial machine learning
- Expertise in causal inference for fairness assessment
- Public speaking experience at tech ethics conferences
