Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 2026 technology roadmap integrating quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate next-gen solutions in our Austin Innovation Center
- Partner with venture capital firms to identify and acquire disruptive startups aligning with 2026 vision
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and board members quarterly
- Establish industry thought leadership through whitepapers and keynote presentations
- Manage $2M annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in emerging technology strategy with 5+ years in futurism or innovation forecasting
- Proven track record of commercializing future-tech concepts (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in emerging tech ecosystems: quantum computing, generative AI, synthetic biology
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Strong network connections with DARPA, IEEE, or World Economic Technology Councils
- Published thought leader in technology forecasting (minimum 3 peer-reviewed papers)
