Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 strategic innovation roadmap with 18-month milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, neurotech)
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government agencies, and industry leaders
- Secure $5M+ in innovation grants and venture capital for breakthrough projects
- Present findings and roadmaps to C-suite executives and board members quarterly
- Mentor junior innovators and cultivate a culture of calculated risk-taking
- Monitor global tech trends and disruptor threats through competitive intelligence systems
Qualifications
- 15+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging technology commercialization
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with $100M+ market impact
- Expertise in at least three emerging technology domains (AI/ML, biotech, quantum, AR/VR)
- Executive-level presentation skills with experience addressing Fortune 500 audiences
- PhD or equivalent in a technical field with peer-reviewed publications
- Successful grant writing history securing $10M+ in public/private funding
- Fluency in strategic foresight methodologies (scenario planning, horizon scanning)
- Ability to obtain US government security clearance for classified projects
