Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Conduct experiments on 50+ qubit quantum processors to validate theoretical models
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects with aerospace, pharmaceutical, and financial services partners
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science and quantum hardware integration
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DoD quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics with 3+ years of quantum research
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, Qiskit, and Cirq programming frameworks
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals or conferences
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
