Responsibilities
- Develop 2026 technology roadmaps for AI-driven autonomous systems and quantum-resistant cryptography
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate futuristic solutions with 18-month development cycles
- Forge strategic partnerships with NASA, MIT Media Lab, and EU Horizon 2020 initiatives
- Secure $5M+ in innovation grants through DARPA and NSF programs
- Present breakthrough concepts to C-suite executives and board of directors quarterly
- Drive patent development for at least 3 core technologies annually
- Mentor junior researchers in emerging fields like neuromorphic engineering and synthetic biology
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (or equivalent experience with 15+ years)
- Proven track record shipping quantum/AI systems with $10M+ budgets
- Expertise in exponential technology forecasting (Singularity University certification preferred)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on transformative technologies
- Security clearance for classified government projects (current or eligible)
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages (Qiskit)
- Experience scaling innovation teams from 5 to 50+ members
