As a key member of our executive innovation council, you'll spearhead R&D initiatives, secure cutting-edge partnerships, and cultivate a culture of radical experimentation. You'll work alongside Nobel laureates and industry disruptors in our Austin-based think lab, where we're prototyping the technologies that will reshape industries by 2026.
Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology roadmap, prioritizing moonshot projects in quantum AI and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams of researchers, engineers, and futurists to deliver breakthrough prototypes
- Secure strategic partnerships with top academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies through internal skunkworks initiatives and client pilots
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite and board members with data-driven impact projections
- Mentor a diverse team of future-focused specialists while fostering an experimental culture
- Monitor global tech trends and regulatory shifts to inform innovation strategy
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech innovation with 5+ years in executive leadership roles
- Proven track record of launching commercialized breakthrough technologies
- Expertise in emerging tech domains: quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, or synthetic biology
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies preferred
- Exceptional strategic planning with ability to translate vision into executable roadmaps
- Strong network within DARPA, NSF, or equivalent innovation ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience securing $50M+ in R&D funding or grants
