Responsibilities
- Architect and execute 2026 innovation roadmaps across quantum computing, biotech convergence, and sustainable tech
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and futurists through complex product lifecycles
- Secure and manage $2M+ annual innovation budgets with venture partners and government entities
- Develop patent portfolios protecting intellectual property for 2026-era solutions
- Establish industry-wide partnerships with MIT Media Lab, NASA JPL, and global accelerators
- Present quarterly strategic briefings to C-suite and board stakeholders
Qualifications
- 10+ years in R&D leadership with 5+ years in emerging tech commercialization
- Proven track record launching products with $100M+ market impact
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- PhD or equivalent in computational sciences, bioengineering, or related field
- Active patent portfolio with 5+ granted innovations
- Experience securing SBIR/STTR grants and DoE funding
- Proficiency in scenario planning for 2026 technological convergence points
