Responsibilities
- Lead scenario planning workshops for Fortune 500 clients on 2026 technology and societal shifts
- Author quarterly trend reports on quantum computing, synthetic biology, and climate tech convergence
- Develop patent-prediction models using machine learning to identify emerging IP opportunities
- Design ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and AI governance by 2026
- Facilitate cross-industry summits with NASA, MIT, and UN Future Council stakeholders
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning methodologies and signal detection
- Present strategic roadmaps to executive boards on 5-10 year technology adoption curves
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in trend analysis or strategic planning for tech-forward organizations
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed foresight journals or top-tier tech publications
- Proficiency in horizon scanning tools (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum AI, neurotech, or climate engineering
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments
- Strong network with futurist communities (e.g., Association of Professional Futurists)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or equivalent program
