Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 2026 technology and societal trend radar, publishing quarterly foresight briefs
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future scenarios into actionable product roadmaps
- Partner with R&D to prototype solutions for 2026 market gaps (e.g., quantum-secured platforms)
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academics, and industry disruptors
- Present strategic recommendations to the board and executive leadership with data-backed confidence
- Author thought leadership on exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Oversee the creation of Horizon's 2026 Innovation Index benchmarking tool
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy consulting, R&D, or futurism with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized innovations
- Deep expertise in at least three of: quantum computing, bio-integration, climate tech, or neuro-interfaces
- Exceptional systems thinking and pattern recognition across complex datasets
- Published thought leadership in top-tier tech or business publications
- Experience leading cross-geographic teams with remote-first methodologies
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent field
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ future-strategy implementations with measurable impact
