In this senior position, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives and R&D teams to forecast emerging trends, develop long-term innovation frameworks, and lead high-stakes projects that redefine industry standards. You'll be instrumental in identifying disruptive technologies and creating actionable strategies that capitalize on the rapidly evolving technological horizon.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's 2026+ innovation roadmap through trend analysis and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional initiatives in AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology integration
- Conduct high-impact market research and competitive analysis for emerging technologies
- Present strategic forecasts and innovation frameworks to executive stakeholders and investors
- Build and manage an external ecosystem of futurists, academics, and industry disruptors
- Drive R&D investments in breakthrough technologies with 5-10 year ROI horizons
- Champion ethical innovation practices and responsible development frameworks
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or emerging technology roles
- Deep expertise in at least two of these domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, neurotech, or sustainable tech
- Proven track record of developing and implementing long-term technology roadmaps
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Strong presentation and communication skills for executive and technical audiences
- Advanced degree in Technology, Business, or Futures Studies (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (required)
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $10M annually
