Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year innovation roadmaps for emerging technologies including quantum computing, synthetic biology, and neuro-interfaces
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and domain experts to prototype next-gen solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive trends and market opportunities
- Drive R&D initiatives focused on sustainable tech and circular economy models
- Present strategic frameworks to C-suite and board stakeholders with actionable insights
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate an innovation culture within the organization
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futuristics, Systems Engineering, or Innovation Management; PhD preferred
- Minimum 8 years in strategic innovation roles with Fortune 500 or VC-backed startups
- Proven track record in launching at least two breakthrough technologies (2018-2023)
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech) and their societal impacts
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry white papers
- Experience with scenario planning methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and predictive modeling
- Exceptional communication skills with executive presence
