Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, identifying emerging trends and disruptive opportunities
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating next-gen technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Develop strategic partnerships with research institutions and industry pioneers to accelerate innovation cycles
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning to anticipate technological disruptions and market shifts
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies for executive stakeholders
- Oversee R&D initiatives with $5M+ annual budget, ensuring ROI alignment with long-term vision
- Champion a culture of innovation through internal hackathons and thought leadership initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with proven impact in emerging tech domains
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI governance, neurotechnology, or climate tech
- Executive experience leading cross-functional innovation teams (50+ personnel)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Track record of securing $10M+ in innovation funding or venture capital
- Fluency in scenario planning frameworks and technology maturity modeling
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
