Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of the 2026 autonomous perception and decision-making pipeline using C++ and Python.
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulation environments to validate vehicle behavior in complex, edge-case scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with hardware teams to optimize sensor fusion algorithms for lidar, radar, and camera inputs.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain the highest standards of engineering excellence.
- Drive the roadmap for safety and compliance, ensuring all systems meet rigorous industry standards.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis of system logs and telemetry data to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for optimization.
Qualifications
- Masterβs degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, specifically within autonomous systems or robotics.
- Proficiency in C++ (advanced knowledge of memory management and multithreading) and Python.
- Deep understanding of state estimation, SLAM, and sensor fusion techniques.
- Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, agile environment.
