Responsibilities
- Develop ethical governance frameworks for autonomous systems and generative AI models
- Conduct bias audits and risk assessments for AI deployment scenarios
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed ethical safeguards into AI pipelines
- Advise policymakers on emerging AI regulatory challenges and opportunities
- Lead stakeholder workshops on responsible AI adoption across industries
- Publish thought leadership on AI ethics in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers on ethical AI design principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in AI ethics, policy development, or responsible tech governance
- Expertise in bias mitigation techniques for machine learning systems
- Deep understanding of global AI regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, NIST frameworks)
- Proven ability to translate complex ethical concepts into technical requirements
- Experience with participatory design methodologies for AI systems
- Strong publication record in AI ethics or responsible innovation
- Proficiency in Python and data analysis tools for bias detection
