Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify and validate emerging technologies with 2026 market impact
- Develop scenario-planning models for quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Architect strategic roadmaps aligning R&D investments with future market demands
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineers, designers, and business leaders
- Publish thought leadership reports on disruptive trends in IEEE and Nature journals
- Manage a $5M innovation portfolio with quarterly ROI assessments
- Mentor junior futurists using proprietary foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Strategy, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, R&D, or emerging technology roles
- Proven track record developing 5+ year technology roadmaps
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis frameworks
- Published author in futurism or technology innovation domains
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience securing innovation grants from NSF or DARPA
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (quantum, AI, synthetic biology)
