Job Description
We are looking for a visionary Senior 2D Interaction Designer to join Lumina Digital and transform how our users engage with our platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical constraints and creative freedom, crafting pixel-perfect motion graphics and seamless micro-interactions that delight users and drive retention.
Our ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of 2D design principles, animation theory, and performance optimization. You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to ensure that every visual element contributes to a cohesive, engaging user journey, setting a new standard for digital experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-fidelity 2D animations and motion graphics using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript libraries.
- Create and maintain scalable component libraries and style guides that ensure design consistency across web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate closely with UX researchers and product managers to translate complex user feedback into intuitive visual interactions.
- Optimize animation performance to ensure 60fps frame rates on a wide range of devices and network conditions.
- Produce high-quality assets and animations for both digital and print collateral when required.
- Conduct usability testing on motion elements to refine user flows and engagement.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in 2D design, animation, or interaction design.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe After Effects, and Sketch.
- Strong command of modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, ES6+).
- Experience with animation libraries such as GSAP, Anime.js, or D3.js.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of timing, easing, and visual hierarchy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
